The abortion debate is not a new one and it exists since a very long time and there are opponents as well as proponents of this method in the United States with separately one of them providing convincing arguments in favor of their stand. Abortion is defined as the termination of pregnancy after, accompanied by, resulting in, or closely followed by the death of the fertilized egg or fetus (Merriam-Webster Dictionary). Abortion may not only serve the purpose of family planning, contraception or performer of controlling population growth, but in like manner a means of saving the life of a m different whose health is at risk. There are three main methods used for the purpose of abortion which include methods in which surgical instruments are introduced through the cervix into the uterus for the purpos e of killing the child or the methods in which the fetus is killed by arrangement of drugs and after the death of fetus, labor is induced which results in expulsion of the dead fetus and lastly the methods in which surgical intervention is used to cut exposed the uterus by abdominal surgery and finally fetus is removed (Willke, 1985). The debate for the abortion of fetuses initiated in the United States basically towards the second half of the twentieth century and a final decision with regard to this was taken in the year 1973 by the Supreme Court which legalized abortions in the country during the legal skid of Roe v Wade. There are many reasons provided by the proponents of abortion to term it not only legal as well as ethical. The frontmost and foremost argument provided is that every human being is born with the right to choose for himself what he considers correct for himself. This right is granted to all human beings in the constitution of the United States. Hence, it is argued that since every human being has the right to favor for what he wants, abortion is legalized for women because this decision is their personal right. They argue that preventing them and restraining them from abortions is actually snatching their constitutional rights of enjoying their release will. They also argue that women are living beings capable of taking their decisions. On the other hand, the fetus is not living and hence it is a part of the womanly body. Therefore it is their choice to opt for abortion and it cannot be questioned. The next argument provided by the proponents is that despite of the fact that abortion may be considered illegal, women would still opt for it. This is proved with regard of the evidence that is given of the countries where abortion is illegal. It is seen that even in these countries abortion is practiced. It is also a fact that the women in these countries opt for other means which are not safe because of the fact that these abortions ar e not conducted under medical practitioners. This leads to the loss of many precious lives which could otherwise be avoided (Head). On the other hand, the opponents of abortion also have their views to present. They argue that at the moment that an embryo is implanted in the uterus, it has a life and a soul. They argue that the embryo if leftover has the capability of developing into a human being and hence to abort this fetus is a murder. They also argue that the fetus has developed a deoxyribonucleic acid sequence at the instant that it formed which upholds the fact that it living and

Compared to other types of punishment, capital punishment is an expensive act. Life terms are cheaper than capital punishment. Capital punishment

Internet and Security - Coursework ExampleHe notes that the precise mother fuckers that are used for flattening the world (technology) are the same tool that can be used to unflatten the world. Responsible use of technology builds the universe part the selfish use of the same technology destroys the world and keeps societies distant. The other credential concern is the economic security of the American people. The author expresses concerns that the American place as the economic powerhouse is threatened because of the attitude of the citizens and the government. The government spends mindlessly on wars and neglects the fundamental economy of the states. The citizens, on the other hand, idolize ideas and opinions that cannot bring economic growth to the nation. They, for example, idolize Britney Spears while their serious competitors idolize the resourceful Bill gate (Friedman, 32). Social injustice in the global economic system Thomas notes that the flattened world has caused a ca ste-like system where wealthy states are getting richer while the poor countries are languishing in more poverty. Trade is focused between rich states while the poor countries are sidelined. The concern is that populations in poor nations allow languish in perpetual poverty. Misuse of borrowed technology The author loves the rate of labor transfer and the numbers of people coming from other countries in invite of knowledge in the USA. The third ethical question insinuated in the story is unlawful labor outsourcing. It creates jobs for some but breeches professional ethos in some areas. By the time of publication of the book, there were no strict laws regulating the business. An example is the online writing of assignments for some students by others.

Research report - Essay ExampleThis is since they do not have the same intellectual level as the analyst on the given subject. The author of the report needs to match the material with the interests of his/her reference. This can keep them interest through the exhibit process. Without an exceptional presentation, the hearing may find the material uninteresting (Lannon, 2007).Another reason why a researcher needs to think of his/her audience is the fact that their need for that schooling is vital. Therefore, a researcher has the capacity to influence the audience through the report (Lannon, 2007). The presentation needs to suit them perfectly. There is first the elimination of unnecessary detail. The audience needs to understand the motive of the research. Getting straight to the layer is one way to do this. The audience may be lost while arduous to decipher the main point of the research, hence losing interest. Another step is addressing the audience directly during the present ation (Gerson & Gerson, 2005). This can be of help since the audience need to smelling as part of the report. Moreover, the language should suit the audience to make them understand better. Hence the reason to keep the presentation short (Gerson & Gerson, 2005).In conclusion, an exceptional report relies heavily on the presentation of the findings. If there is a poor presentation, then the research was in vain. It makes the researcher sustain morale even though he/she might have decent material (Blicq, 2003). Following such steps, one is likely to have his/her audience interested in what they are

Portraying paintings - Essay ExampleThen there is the musical instrument to the far righta bit more(prenominal) frivolous an object, and a sword near the centercertainly not as common as a book. There is also a expression of musical instrument with the skull, which is the obvious focal point of the painting. The wooden flute is set near its mouth, almost to look as though the skull is playing it. In fact, perhaps the skull is smiling as it plays a whimsical tune. Also interesting, however, is the light source, a small window, presumably near the ceiling. The light illuminates only the skull, and leaves the separate images in relative darkness, as if to say that what is important in the picture is the reminder of death, rather than the other Vanities of Human Life that are portrayed. Death, the artist seems to suggest is other of these vanities, however, as the skull plays upon its flute almost whimsically. Perhaps he is trying to tell us that death is the most beautiful vanity of all, as it removes us from the other banalities of existence. In John Keats poem, When I Have Fears That I May Cease to Be, we see the two most common themes of Keats entire body of songthose of unrequited love, and fear of deathhere together in one poem. He uses the sonnet form, with three quatrains and a rhyming couplet at the end. (This grass also be seen as an octet and sestet). The natural divisions in the form of the poem organize his fears about love and death.

The Problems Faced By Archaeologists in Reconstructing Anglo Saxon Society between the 5th And 7th Centuries from Anglo Saxon Cemetery Evidence Essay Example for Free

The Problems Faced By Archaeologists in Reconstructing Anglo Saxon Society between the 5th And 7th Centuries from Anglo Saxon Cemetery Evidence Essay subjection of England by the Anglo Saxon began in middle of the 5th century. During this time Celts inhabited England and had been ruled by the Romans for more than 360 years. Due to the short lived rule by the papist, the roman civilization started to fade away hence left the most of the towns aband aced. This included most of the villas in the countryside and the Celts went back to live in hill forts and other protected wooden stockades. There was deliberate attempt by Arnold to explain the changes that dated from roman Britain to early Anglo-Saxon England based on an elite migration which is considered as a type of a late reception of processual archaeology as illustrated by Scull. There ar a large flesh of ornaments found in a number of graves and what is so clear ab turn out(p) them is that the origin of these ornament is definite in a given district or sate. Also these ornaments atomic number 18 clearly a descendant of the people of which these burial sites are from. Hence it can be conclusively be said that these people did obtain their ornaments slump away from their own local anaestheticity and not outside the district they live in. a problem force arise in deciding on the stiffness of the archaeological interpretation of the Anglo-Saxon conquest of Britain. Here, the owner of these ornaments is unclear as whether they are the Saxons, Angles or Romano-Britons who are the owners of these ornaments. Lethbrigdes interpretation would help pin agitate the real owners of the artifacts and the material remain1. These were done with other archaeologists who in many ways faced a number of ch all(prenominal)enges. Some of these challenges included the following Reconstruction of dress at that place were variations noted on the dress fasteners in the womens clothes. The clothes had one, two or t hree brooches that were worn in various(a) positions on the vanity and others on the shoulder. Dress-fastening for the men was limited to sleeve fasteners and buckles. Reconstructing clothing from this evidence meant that the range of dress fastening was dictated by a number of factors. These factors include kind identity and the mode of display. It was and argued that the dress fasteners placed in graves may have been chosen on other reasons rather than the functional race to the garment being worn or the direct relationship of the grave clothing and the daily wear. The textiles of which we have knowledge about had been made into clothing. Though in that location is a misadventure to reconstruct some of the clothing through the remains in graves by using the position of dress fasteners like buckles ( circumvent 1974 Bell 1981 Owen Crocker 1986)Damage of skeletons during shot. The excavation of skeletons was exceedingly hard as a result of the conditions of the subsoil and dry weather. The skeletons were also not well preserved because of the circum-neutral pH of the local subsoil and the ploughing which later brought about disturbance. The subsoil surface was also experiencing compaction by the box scrappers. The hard and dry subsoil conditions meant that it was rugged to excavate and remove the skeletal remains without sustaining some damage. The removal of skeletons followed a certain process. The box scrapper could first reveal the site in an unwittingly manner and later the consentaneous site cleaned with hoes. This was to be followed by base planning at 150 and then excavation by hand. The excavation was done by use of trowels, small chisels and brushes. The fully excavated skeletons in grave pits were then photographed in black and white and key outn at 110. The whole process seemed cumbersome and at the end no accurate results could be sought. At times the burials sites were discovered accidentally hence damage of these artifacts and bone s are more likely to happen with the use of metal detecting activities. The requirement of these archaeological studies is that the whole burial grounds should be intact to maximize data recovery process. Methods for protecting and close examination of statigraphy should have been in place. This would minimize the problem of retrieval and analysis of organic materials such as textiles. With the increasing kind-hearted activities such as formal settlement and cultivation such burial sites are more prone to destruction and hence limited randomness base.appellation of (vertical status related) and horizontal (gender, age) social groupings. Understanding the physical conditions of the people in the Anglo Saxon was a big problem. Provision of reports on the age, physical height and the biologic gender of the dead person and the time of death have only been achieved through the scientific analysis and improved technology. It was also impossible to have information on any signs of gene tic traits and deformity or trauma present in the skeleton record. Transformation of these kinds of data into cultural interpretation remains a problem that need to be addressed.Evidence interpretation Coming into an agreement upon realization of a notable phenomenon was another problem. Taking the case of the suspended root word model where various persons argued out on the purposes on various sections buildings, we see how each person tried to argue out. This argument hindered the ease of putting an all one agreed story on the Anglo Saxon. It leads to inclusion of argument from more than one person hence limiting the accuracy desired. There was an argument on the kind of floors that the vernacular buildings had and also an attempt to relate them to the 12th and thirteenth century buildings. The earliest surviving buildings which date to the late 12th and early 13th centuries do not have planked ground floors (Walker 2009) and so it forget be remarkable if majority of the buildin gs in the 6th century England possessed them. Difficulty arose in an attempt to explain the validity of the pit as to whether it served as an air-space or not. Decisive evidence mainly on the subject matter about superstructure of Grubenhauser will tend to depend on factors of plausibility. Suspended floors could end up being elusive evidence. Grouped Grubenhauser archaeological features will tend to compromise more than one form of superstructure (West 1986 116-21). This will in the end require re-evaluation that consists of a detailed study of the Grubenhaus fills to ascertain the artifacts in relation to the date and function of the structures. Re-evaluation is time consume and costly, hence the study team will be forced to redo their study once more based on a given number of micro morphological studies to come up with exaction records. One notable example of misinterpretation of evidence id that of tertiary deposition of Grubenhaus fills that had little relationship with the u se of the building. It brought out this contradictory evidence to the lime light and hence dispelling the notion of assuming little matter of great importance (Tipper, 2004107)Location of the ancient cemeteries challenged the reconstruction of the Anglo Saxon society. Distinct boundaries where miscreants were disposed based on the customs which were never recorded and documented made it hard to identify areas to focus. The problem of Charters references to access places which exhibit patterns of local practice and dialect was also of big concern. There is a prevalent view that the local estates and the hundreds within which they were grouped are products of the late Anglo Saxon period1. This could be challenges by a series of execution sites with origins scientifically dated to the 7th century. Hence the territorial limits denied the archaeologists a chance of finding the near to exact places of carrying out their work. It proved a hard task to locate cemeteries as it required appre ciation of the above ground appearance. This area as usual was characterized by mounds and dead room houses the only problem arose on how these areas of dignity were maintained over time. Putting into record such phenomenon was a hard task for the study team for thither existed little management evidence such as paths, internal divisions or vegetation or even buildings associated with burial sites. Other notable challenge was to ancestry the difference between shrines as a form of cemetery structures and other mortuary houses (Hirst198524).Instances of cremation rendered the archeological study to be narrowSome instances of the burials have indicated that there was close contact with the Roman culture. This can be exemplified by the right of inhumation which was practiced by the native Romanized population. Cremation was a common practice particularly outside the empire5. As recorded y the different times of the AD200-400 in northern and cardinal Europe. There was inconsistency in the differences presented by the Germanic graves. This further led to the much unnoticeable variance of the whole archeological results. Although in some areas burials of different orientations have been brought out in instance where there existed a large cemetery for example at Krefeld-Gellep, in Westphalia. In such instances careful examination of the artifacts and bones was needed in order to ascertain and draw analogies from the historical and ethnographic sources. (McKinley 199472-81 Williams 2004b). Cremation involved a sequence of materials practices and places, Williams 2001.this practice did reconfigure the deeds identity in many ways including burning the cadaver and sermon of ashes. As seen the most valuable evidence in the cinerary urns included the burnt bones, contrary to the statement the bones sometimes were absent suggesting a possibility that the practice took place without necessarily the body being present (Mckinely200311-12). There are notable fragmented rem ains in most of the urns and the end result is that they offer invaluable information to the study team. Although the positive thing about the remains includes giving information on such variable such as number of individuals present, age and sex. From the estimated weight and degree of fragmentation and also the colour of the bone pyre technology and post cremation aspects can be reconstructed easily (McKinley 199482-6). There has been revelation of a wide range of practices such as sacrificed animals placed on pyres. Wild animals such as fox and deer were the ones generally used to offer sacrifice. Conclusion As much as Anglo-Saxon worship is difficult to perceive, religion is an important aspect in our daily lives. This implies that religion cant be ignored as it forms part of our fundamental shaping of our behaviors. There is need to have some level of local institutions that are charged with the sole responsibility of maintaining and running cultic sites such as cemeteries . The enhancement of the understanding of Anglo-Saxon religion will depend on the level of the various responses both social and political changes that aim to safeguard the past, present and the future history that is within the society. Closer exploration of the religious ecological context will tend to shed light on the understanding of the Pre-Christian paganisms.ReferencesCarver, (2005). Sutton Hoo. Makes progress Essay Example for Free

Makes progress EssayPlease be informed that I am hiring Steve Ripiey as sales representative. He is the most(prenominal) qualified candidate and his credentials are impressive. I would dare say they are righteous a little less than perfecta recent MBA from UCLA, a successful summer internship at AgFunds (graduated as top trainee), and a stint overseas as an economic analyst for the U. S. Government. More than what we see on paper, he is motivated, hungry, talented and ambitious. I talked to the guy and he is personable, quick-witted, bright, and an excellent conversationalist. He has the makings of a successful sales representative. He can win people and I debate he can turn this zone upside down. This may be a melodramatic argument but this is what this connection needs right now. This district has been in a slow state for the past 15 years and it needs shaking up. We sacrifice been losing customers for the past 15 years and we lost a lot of them. It was not because we had a black guy in-charge. It was poor management that brought us here. Now, we all know that we need a jump-start to make this company thrive a get in.And Steve is the powerhouse we need make it happen. We operate in a color-conscious district, I know, but we can use this to our advantage. We have a window of fortune here to make something else happen. I am talking most a revolution. Our company is revitalizing and we should give it new blood. We allow for be having new clients. We will also be having new representatives. It is not a far-fetched idea that our new clients will learn to accept our new representatives irrespective of race or creed. We have not much to lose here. Our company is not in its prime right now. We are just starting anew. However, we have a lot to gain if we change our unwritten policies on hiring. There is a message we can make here with this decision to hire Steve. We are saying that we look at professionalism at everything we do and our clients can trust th at we will also be professional in dealing with them. We hire because of competence and we hire only the beaver people irrespective of skin color. And that is a noble stand any company could make. On another note, we could at least give Steve a conflict chance. We owe it to him since he graduated as our top trainee. We should at least try to see how he performs out there in the field. I am confident that he can win the customers with his personality. He has the faculties to do so and I believe they will learn to accept him. I am confident that Steve has the capability to exceed our expectations. Rest assured that I have full confidence in him. There is no need to fear if we can not promote him if he fails his first assignment or if we lose profits because our customers will not buy from him.We will make his promotion dependent on his performance. If he performs well, he is promoted and we gain profits. If he does not, he does not get promoted. All we lose is the opportunity of sal es. I am asking you not just to see the long run. See also the big picture. Racial inhospitality is limited only to certain regions. And unfortunately, we are in one of them. However, our company will uprise much bigger in not so long now and Steve is too much of a talent to waste. See that it is possible that we will be operating in the multinational or international level in the near future. If we will not hire him in this district just because of limits sterilise only by this district, we are being myopic and we will lose more. Steves career path is his own choice. He is smart. He is already aware of what he is going into if he takes this job. He knows the challenges he has to hurdle if he takes this job. But it is of great incentive to us if he still takes this job despite the circumstances. It meaning he is willing to take risks. We need someone like that right now. The same should go for uswe should also be willing to take risks. Think about the turtle it only makes progress when it sticks its head out.
